Runner Bean Growing In The Allotment

If you have an allotment or are thinking of getting one then runner beans are a great vegetable to grow.

I would recommend using the single row method of supporting your beans.

Pick your area and prepare the soil over the winter. Remember to run the row north to south and if possible choose a sheltered area.

Runner beans grow tall and will cast a shadow so take this into consideration when planning your planting and do not plant sun loving crops too close.

Water and weed often and you should have a bumper crop.
